Privacy policy

Last updated: [date] · Applies to Octo for Mac

The short version

Octo is a Mac app. Your mail, calendar, tasks and habits are stored on your Mac. We do not read, sell or share your mail.

What stays on your device

Mail, attachments, drafts, calendar events, tasks, habits and settings are kept locally. Account passwords and tokens are kept in the macOS Keychain.

What leaves your device

Octo connects directly to your mail, calendar and Taskavel providers to sync. When you use Ask Octo or drafting, the relevant text is sent to the AI provider you choose, under that provider's terms. Licence checks send your licence key and an anonymous device id to [licence server].
